We test all X470 motherboards with AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 16GB G.Skill Trident Z memory clocked at 2933 MHz with CL14, a Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD and a Seasonic Prime 650W 80Plus Titanium power supply. For cooling the processor we use a Cooler MasterLiquid Lite 120 used. As a separate video card we used the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. We perform all tests on the default settings of the motherboards.
In the CPU tests, the performance of the different X470 motherboards is very similar - we never see differences of more than a few percent. Only the RoG Strix X470-F Gaming consistently does just a little better than the rest. We suspect that a small amount is being faked, because you will soon also see that the power consumption under load of that one board is somewhat higher - that indicates a slight overclock.
