Benchmarks: Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5 is not yet a few months old, but we have tested it all the same. In combination with the AMD card, we measure up to 10 fps difference in the advantage of Intel, and that's at full HD resolution with ultra settings. The higher the settings, the smaller the differences between the CPUs.

Frame times - Far Cry 5 (AMD RX Vega 56)
  1080p - ultra 1440p - medium 1440p - ultra 4K - medium
AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 13.2 ms 13.6 ms 16.7 ms 25.8 ms
Intel Core i5 8600K 11.5 ms 13.3 ms 16.2 ms 28.5 ms

Both in relative and absolute terms, the AMD processor will perform better if we install the Nvidia card.

Frame times - Far Cry 5 (Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti)
  1080p - ultra 1440p - medium 1440p - ultra 4K - medium
AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 12.8 ms 13.9 ms 16.7 ms 25.5 ms
Intel Core i5 8600K 11 ms 13.1 ms 15.4 ms 25.7 ms
