AMD Ryzen 5 2600X vs. Intel Core i5 8600K: the best gaming CPU in the year 2018!

Should you get a Ryzen or Core i5, if you're looking for the best gaming CPU?

Benchmarks: The Division

Unfortunately, you won't find any frame time tables on this page, as we didn't manage to measure them consistently. Something seems to be going wrong with the communication between our benchmark software and the game, but of course we do have the usual frame rates.

With the RX Vega 56, the difference between an Intel and AMD processor is nihil. Intel clearly wins only on 1440p medium, but that seems to be a one-time outlier.

When we're using a Nvidia card, the Core i5 8600K and Ryzen 5 2600X remain equally as fast in The Division.
