The best air coolers for around € 50

Our Price Comparison statistics show that most people spend about 50 euros on an air cooler. That's not surprising: for this amount you can buy an excellent cooler, which is already very close to the performance of twice as expensive top performers. For those last few degrees you actually pay disproportionately much.

The best cooler in this segment is the Scythe Mugen 5 PCGH Edition. The recipe for this popular cooler is very simple: a large cooling block with a relatively quiet fans on both sides. Such a dual fan solution makes less noise to achieve the same cooling than one faster-running fan.

The most important competitor comes from the same brand: the Ninja 5 is almost as expensive and cools just a little bit better, but at 1.2 kilograms it does weigh a lot. However, if your PC is in a fixed location and you don't transport it often, you should definitely consider the Scythe Ninja 5.
