Gigabyte Aorus H5
After Asus and MSI, Gigabyte was the third motherboard manufacturer to dive into the market of gaming peripherals. The Aorus H5 is the very latest in headset technology of this brand. Maybe it is a coincidence, but it has a very similar headband (with automatic adjustment) as its two competitors and it weighs almost as much. It feels a little lighter on the head, however.
The microphone is detachable, but Gigabyte has not provided a four-pole plug for use with a smartphone or laptop. In addition to two 3.5 mm plugs there is a USB plug on the 2.5 metre long cable, which is used for the rgb lighting.
Perhaps it is an advantage to be last on the market, because out of the headsets of the three Taiwanese motherboard manufacturers we appreciate the Aorus H5 the most. The sound is pleasantly neutral, with a present but not predominant and not particularly tight bass, pleasant and firm middles and somewhat underexposed highs. Not everything is very high-quality, but the price isn't very high either. With a price of less than 86 dollars, this H5 is one of the cheapest in the test.
