The less demanding computer user does not need an expensive motherboard. A lot of the functionality of high-end motherboards will be left unused, therefore making it a waste of money. Fortunately there is enough to choose from in the lower segment. Today we take a closer look at ten motherboards with the Intel B250- and H270-chipsets.
All major motherboard manufacturers sent us boards for this test. ASRock sent us an ATX H270-board, the Fatal1ty H270 Performance. ASUS sent us three variants of the Strix B250 Gaming and aside from that also the H270-version. Gigabyte is represented by two affordable B250-boards and an H270-board that is not expensive either. Last but not least, we also test two MSI motherboards: a Micro-ATX B250-board and an H270-board for gamers.
In terms of price the motherboards in this round-up range from about 94 dollars to nearly double that amount. On the next pages we find out what the differences between these boards are and of course we tested all of them extensively as well.
