19 24-inch full hd monitors review: affordable view

Even with a limited budget you can purchase an excellent monitor

Conclusion

Even with a limited budget you can purchase an excellent monitor. You do need to bear in mind that you will need to compromise in some way: either a fast panel, a model with good colour fidelity, an ergonomic design, and so on.

Looking purely at the price, the Benq GW2470H is not only the cheapest model but also a solid monitor. A Great Value award is definitely deserved. The Iiyama G-Master GE2488HS-B2 is the best model for gaming, which is also very affordable and therefore it receives a Great Value award as well. The same award goes to the Samsung S24F350FH, an affordable choice if you are looking for a colourfast monitor. The viewing angles are not that great, but the colour quality is excellent for its relatively low price.

The Samsung C24F390FHU is clearly more expensive, but is a better choice for image editing thanks to its excellent viewing angles, contrast and colour fidelity. This monitor receives an Excellent Choice award.

We appreciate the Iiyama ProLite XB2483HSU-B2DP the most for office environments; this monitor also receives a Great Value award. Last but not least, an Innovation Award goes to the LG 24MP88HM-S that impresses with its new panel, thin bezels and excellent viewing angles from all sides. That said, for this test LG supplied us with a model that is hard to come by in the Netherlands. The 24MP88HV is nearly identical, although it does not have built-in speakers – yet is slightly cheaper.
