This summer Nvidia introduced the GeForce GTX 1060. At first a model with 6 GB VRAM was released, followed by a model with half of the available video memory. But which GTX 1060 should you buy? We tested eight different models manufactured by ASUS, EVGA, Gigabyte, Inno3D, MSI and Palit. You can find all the benchmarks in this review!
A few months ago, AMD and Nvidia released their new generation of graphics cards with procedures of 14 and 16 nm respectively. The top models are in some way the most interesting, because these offer performance that has never been achieved before. Nevertheless, most consumers purchase products in the mid-range segment, where we see quite the performance boost as well. Because of this, a higher performance level is available at a lower price. The power consumption has been decreased as well and you benefit from the new features that have been implemented, more on that later.
The cards that we cover in this test are primarily meant for gaming in Full HD and/or WQHD at medium settings. Aside from that they should offer the minimum performance needed to use a VR-headset. In short, you can play games quite well without having to spend a lot of money.
In this article we compare the GeForce GTX 1060s from different manufacturers with each other using a limited amount of games.
