Overclocking

Resident overclocker Joost Verhelst tested the overclocking potential of the two Gigabyte cards. We got the GTX 770 GPU overclocked to 1279 MHz, and in 3DMark 11 even up to 1299 MHz. The memory we were able to increase to 1878 MHz, which is impressive. Only the significantly more expensive MSI N770 Lightning went further. Here is a table with all 770 cards we tested along with their overclocking results.

Combined with a Core i7 3970X at 5 GHz, in 3DMark Vantage it scored 47,498 points. In 3DMark11 we reached 12,577 and in 3DMark Fire Strike 8,109 points. Click on the thumbnails below for the screenshots:

Gigabytes GeForce GTX 780 went up to 1081 MHz for the GPU. The memory we got to run stable up to 1777 MHz, which is good. Other GTX 780s we got beyond 1100 MHz for the GPU, some even above 1200 MHz. Here is a table with all 780 cards we tested along with their overclocking results.

In 3DMark Vantage we scored 52,053 points, in 3DMark11 14,772 points and in 3DMark Fire Strike 10,177 points. Click on the thumbnails for more details.
