Lenovo Thinkpad Helix review: Convertible according to Lenovo

Core i5 and Full HD, with clever keyboard dock

There's plenty of choice nowadays if you want a new notebook or hybrid tablet. Lenovo, for example, has the light-weight Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 and exotic products like the ThinkPad Twist with its rotating display and the flexible Yoga. Today we will take a closer look at the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix, a high-end hybrid with a screen that you can remove.

Since the Helix is part of the ThinkPad series, it's black, sturdy and business-like. At a first glance it doesn't look very different. When you flip it open, you see a large touchpad without physical buttons and also a trackpoint. The keyboard is typical Lenovo quality. The space between the screen and the keyboard is larger than usual, however, with the hinges clearly mounted on the keyboard part.
