Benchmarks - Assassin's Creed 4, Battlefield 4
Next is Assassin's Creed 4, the frame rate of which is capped at approximately 62.5 fps. Using Medium settings, you will average above 60 fps on 4K using two cards. A single card will result in just above 50 fps, which by the way is fine for this game. You will want to use three cards to enjoy playing on Ultra settings; this game scales just fine up to 3-way SLI.
Last up is Battlefield 4. On Medium settings this game is perfectly playable using only a single Titan Black. We measured 63.1 fps, which is slightly lower than what AMD's Radeon R9 290X is capable of. Two Titans allow us to run the game at over 105 fps and the game scales even further, although here too the game becomes somewhat choppy when using 3-way and 4-way SLI. It seems that the combination of Ultra HD and Ultra settings can bring even the strongest video cards to their knees. The meager 24.9 fps that a single card provides makes this game completely unplayable. Two cards results in 43.7 fps, which is closer to what we want. 3-way and 4-way SLI scales fine here as well, although the game does feel a little choppy.
