Introduction
ASUS has been releasing some pretty interesting Windows 8 products as of late. We've already reviewed the affordable ASUS VivoBook X202E/S200E, the ASUS Vivo Tab RT and the Vivo Tab Smart. Today we will take a closer look at the VivoBook S400CACA, a 14-inch notebook with touch that's available in a number of different configurations.
The VivoBook comes with a Core i3, a Core i5, or a Core i7. It has a pretty deluxe finish like the X202E/S200E. The bottom is constructed in plastic, but the cover around the keyboard is aluminium.
The high-end look continues with the large touchpad and the screen which has 10 touch points. The display is a TN panel with 1366x768 resolution. For the entry-level model that's fine, but for the more powerful configurations a better resolution and panel would be preferable.
