ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 gets upgraded to Android 4.2

By , source: Theverge

Thanks to a direct partnership with Google, ASUS' Nexus 7 was the first table featuring the Android 4.2 operating system. The tight-knit cooperation also seems to be beneficial to ASUS' own products; the Transformer Pad TF300 will be the second tablet to receive the upgrade to Android 4.2, which makes it the first device outside of the Nexus-series to feature the new update.

ASUS will first release the update in the United States, although it's still uncertain whether we're dealing with version 4.2 or the latest 4.2.2 version with all sorts of bug fixes. Other ASUS devices, including the Transformer Pad Infinity, MeMO Pad Smart and MeMO Pad, will receive their Android 4.2 update in the next quarter.
