Last weekend, Samsung's Smart TV servers were offline after a break-down. It's not the first time Samsung's servers are troubled; in January, the service was also briefly offline. Samsung's servers for Smart TV are required because all services and apps first need to connect to the central server. Because the servers could not be approached, the Smart TV services and apps were blocked off altogether.
Although Samsung hasn't had many other issues -aside from the the downtime in January- two outages in as many months seems a little excessive. We hope Samsung will take better care of its servers in the future.
